University Medicine Mannheim (UMM) now offers advanced and gentle treatment for cancer patients. The introduction of the “Varian Ethos” at the Department of Radiotherapy and Radiation Oncology marks a milestone. This innovative device of the latest generation uses artificial intelligence (AI) for control and enables faster and more precise treatment.
On March 4, the artificial intelligence-controlled Varian Ethos linear accelerator was officially presented at the Department of Radiotherapy and Radiation Oncology. The event attracted numerous guests from the UMM, DKFZ, Siemens Healthineers and Varian and enjoyed a widespread media coverage.
